Maru Creations Ltd is a Maori owned business providing quality contemporary woven taonga (treasures) influenced by tikanga Māori (cultural practices and protocols), whakapapa (family lineage) and karakia (prayers).

Te Ataraiti Waretini is the founder and weaver of Maru Creations Ltd. She is guided by her late Kuia (grandmother), Anita Bassett, and Mother, Maria Waretini to ensure mana and integrity in all taonga. Inspired by every story, each taonga is made infused with tikanga, karakia, waiata (song), and aroha (love).
